The vast majority of car tire scraps generated worldwide each year remain untreated, only about 40% of which is recycled into low-value-added products. Part of it is burned to create energy, but the emissions after burning rubber are very toxic, seriously affecting the environment, some are buried in the desert, but rubber cannot decompose and leachate from these areas causes severe environmental pollution.
The remainder is ground to make fillers for asphalt, retaining walls, playground surface structures, and other civil engineering uses, but more than 70GW of energy is required to grind car tires.

The product is used for heat and sound insulation in thermal equipment, automobiles, public transport vehicles, and civil constructions

- Piping insulation: RUBCYCLE coatings and sleeving are used to insulate pipes carrying hot or cold fluids to minimize heat loss and condensation. They are used for industrial and commercial piping systems.
- Footwear and apparel insulation: RUBCYCLE embedded in fabrics or coatings for clothing and footwear provide enhanced insulation, moisture management and breathability.
- Automotive insulation: RUBCYCLE-filled acoustic panels and other automotive components help reduce noise levels and improve comfort in car interiors. RUBCYCLE mats under hoods provide thermal insulation.
- Thermal protectors: RUBCYCLE can be used as thermal protectors for high temperature equipment like furnaces and ovens.
